CF Montréal commits to the mental health of youth

Sensitive to and involved in the development and well-being of young people, the club is proud to take its commitment a step further by joining forces with the Fondation Jeunes en Tête (FJET), an organization dedicated to promoting positive mental health and preventing psychological distress among young people.

Psychological distress is at the heart of most problems experienced by teenagers: 1 in 3 young people present symptoms of anxiety or depression.

Through this partnership, the Fondation Jeunes en Tête brings valuable expertise to our community, offering awareness-raising workshops and online tools to sensitize and equip not only young athletes but all teens and their entourage to the importance of taking care of one's mental health, in sport and in everyday life.

ABOUT THE FONDATION JEUNES EN TÊTE

For 25 years, the mission of the Fondation Jeunes en Tête (FJET) has been to prevent psychological distress among young people aged 11 to 18 in Quebec. Through awareness-raising workshops in high schools across the province, and by offering online kits for teens, their families and school staff, FJET works to destigmatize, raise awareness and equip the next generation to face life's challenges. With the collaboration of a host of experts, their team develops specific content adapted to the realities of young people and offers practical advice to help them take care of their mental health on a daily basis, and thus face the challenges of adolescence, big and small.
