ORLANDO, Florida – The Montreal Impact will play its second-to-last preseason game in Florida this Wednesday at 3pm (ET), taking on Orlando City SC (USL Pro) at the Seminole Soccer Complex, in Sanford, Florida. It will be the very first meeting between the two clubs.
“There will be a good mix of young and experienced players,” said Impact head coach Marco Schällibaum. “We want to continue our evaluation while giving a few more opportunities to players who need minutes. We’ll have to be careful with our players ahead of Saturday’s final.”
In 2012, Orlando won its second regular season title with a record of 17 wins, one loss and six draws. The team had also won the league and playoffs the year before.
The Impact has finished the group stages of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic and will play in the final against the Columbus Crew, on Saturday, February 23 at 8pm (ET). The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Orlando SC finished last in Group A with a draw against Philadelphia and losses to Columbus and Toronto.
Following the Disney Pro Classic final, the team will return to Montreal on February 24 before heading to Seattle on February 28 to play its first game of the 2013 season on March 2nd.
