Impact news
The Impact lost for just the third time this season on Saturday, falling 2-0 to the Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium. However, the Impact is the only undefeated team at home in the Eastern Conference with five wins and one tie and leads its conference with 14 goals at home.
After serving automatic one-game suspension in Columbus, Impact head coach Marco Schällibaum and defender Alessandro Nesta will return Wednesday which bodes well for the home side as the Impact is undefeated in regular season action when Nesta starts a game (6-0-1).
Impact captain Davy Arnaud has returned to full training with the team this week after missing over 40 days due to a concussion.
Midfielder Sanna Nyassi will be available for Wednesday’s game after playing two World Cup qualifying games with the Gambian men’s national team. Nyassi played all 90 minutes in a 3-0 loss against Ivory Coast on June 8 in Bakau, Gambia, and 59 minutes in a 2-0 loss against Morocco in Marrakesh on June 15.
