BRIDGEVIEW, Illinois – The Montreal Impact (10-6-5, 35 pts) travels to Toyota Park to take on the Chicago Fire (8-9-4, 28pts) this Saturday at 8:30pm (ET). The Impact now sits in third spot in the Eastern Conference with 35 points from 21 games played and has two games in hand to make up the four points separating the Impact and first place Sporting Kansas City. SKC hosts the New England Revolution on Saturday, while second place New York Red Bulls take on the Columbus Crew on the road.
This is the second of three games between these teams in 2013. In the first matchup, the Impact shut out the Fire 2-0 on April 27 at Stade Saputo. Andrés Romero and Marco Di Vaio scored for Montreal.

Impact news
The Impact played a midweek game on Wednesday, topping the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 in its first match of the CONCACAF Champions League. Hassoun Camara scored with a header off of a set piece, that earned the Impact’s newest Designated Player Hernán Bernardello his first assist in his first ever game with the club. Goalkeeper Evan Bush preserved the shutout, saving a penalty early on in the first half.
In its most recent MLS regular season game, the Impact fell to D.C. United by a 3-1 score last Saturday, at RFK Stadium, in Washington D.C. In the loss, defender Jeb Brovsky scored his first career MLS goal.

In its most recent matchup, the Fire fell at home to D.C. United Wednesday night by a 2-0 score at Toyota Park, in US Open Cup play, and is effectively eliminated from the tournament.
Previous to that game, the Fire had gone 6-2-2 in its last 10 matches, including a 2-1 road win against the Philadelphia Union last weekend, compared to a record of 2-7-2 in the first 11 games of the season.
The turnaround coincides with the arrival of Mike Magee, acquired earlier this season in a trade with the LA Galaxy for Robbie Rogers.
Magee is leading the league in scoring with 14 goals from 20 games played, scoring eight of those goals in the 10 matches played with the Fire. He has helped lift his team from the basement of the Eastern Conference to five points out of a playoff spot.
Midfielder Patrick Nyarko and forward Chris Rolfe have each scored four goals so far this season, while Joel Lindpere leads the team with six assists, all coming in the last seven league matches.
Goalkeeper Sean Johnson has recently returned from US national team duty at the Gold Cup tournament.
The Fire’s newest DP signing Juan Luis Anangonó could be available for selection for the first time Saturday, after reception of his ITC and recovery from a hamstring tweak.

The Impact will then return home to host D.C. United on Saturday, August 17, at 7pm (ET) at Stade Saputo.
