MONTREAL – CF Montréal full-back Mustafa Kizza has been called up by the Ugandan national team ahead of the side’s two upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures.
Uganda (0-0-2) will look to earn its first win of the CAF second round group stage as it faces Rwanda twice in the span of four days. The team will first travel to Stade Régional de Nyamirambo in Kigali on October 7 before returning home to host the Rwandans on October 10 at St. Mary’s Stadium-Kitende, in Entebbe. Uganda currently sits third in Group E, with only the top team from each group advancing to the third and final round.
Kizza, 21, featured in both of Uganda’s last FIFA World Cup qualifiers, appearing as a second-half substitute against Kenya and Mali in a pair of 0-0 draws, playing a total of 58 minutes.
