MONTRÉAL – It’s on Saturday, August 14, that CF Montréal will host its traditional Pride game at Stade Saputo against the New York Red Bulls, under the theme Uni.e.s et Fier.e.s. The game will represent the culmination of a series of initiatives organized by the Club from August 9 to 15.
The Club celebrates diversity in all its forms and will use its voice and platform to raise awareness among its supporters to the current reality the 2SLGBTQIA+ community can experience. We want to underline how proud we are of the fact that our stadium and our community perfectly reflect this diversity.
For the occasion, GRIS-Montréal and the Montreal LGBTQ+ Community Centre will have an information kiosk set up under the stands at Stade Saputo, to provide our supporters with information about what they do and stand for.
Players will also wear the adidas Love Unites training jersey and their game jersey will be modified in order to represent the colours of Pride.
GRIS-Montréal is a nonprofit community organization that has been demystifying sexual orientations and gender identities in schools for 27 years already.
The Montreal LGBTQ+ Community Centre is a nonprofit organization founded on August 17, 1988. The CCGLM acts to improve the well-being of people in our communities by promoting cooperation and seeking the support of the community and social development by individuals and organizations.
