CF Montréal receives $400,000 in general allocation money in return for Rudy Camacho

MONTREAL – CF Montréal announced on Monday the acquisition of $400,000 in General Allocation Money from the Columbus Crew, in return for defender Rudy Camacho ($200,000 in 2023 and $200,000 in 2024).

“CF Montréal thanks Rudy for his six years of service to the Club,” said Vice-President and Chief Sporting Officer Olivier Renard. “We wish him success in this next chapter of his career.”

The Club acquired Camacho on March 22, 2018, from Belgian club Waasland-Beveren.

In six seasons with the Club, the central defender played 152 matches, including 128 in the MLS regular season, three in the MLS Cup Playoffs, five in Concacaf Champions League, 14 in the Canadian Championship and two in Leagues Cup. In 2021, he received the Club’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
