A group of 29 players to begin CF Montréal training camp on Monday 

MONTREAL – A group of 29 players will take part in the first training session of CF Montréal’s 2023 preseason training camp presented by Allstate Insurance, this Monday morning at the Olympic Stadium.

Goalkeepers Logan Ketterer and Jonathan Sirois, defenders Zachary Brault-Guillard, Rudy Camacho, George Campbell and Aaron Herrera, midfielders Jean Aniel-Assi, Mathieu Choinière, Ahmed Hamdi, Jojea Kwizera, Lassi Lappalainen, Matko Miljevic, Sean Rea, Nathan Saliba, Joaquín Torres, Victor Wanyama and Rida Zouhir, as well as forwards Kei Kamara, Sunusi Ibrahim, Romell Quioto and Mason Toye will be present.

Five CF Montréal Academy players, Jefferson Alphonse (2003), Gabriel Antinoro (2004), Loïc Cloutier (2004), Malick Daouda (2004) and Matisse Hébert (2004) have also been invited to participate in the first team camp.

2023 MLS SuperDraft picks Milo Garvanian, Ousman Jabang and Nick Christoffersen will also be on trial starting this Monday.

Canadian players who participated in the recent FIFA World Cup have been granted additional time off. Goalkeeper James Pantemis, as well as defenders Kamal Miller and Joel Waterman, will join the team on January 13, while midfielder Samuel Piette will integrate the camp on January 16.

Central defender Róbert Thorkelsson will also be absent for the start of preseason in Montreal as he was selected by the senior Icelandic national team for two friendlies to be played in Portugal, today against Estonia and Thursday against Sweden. He will return to Montreal on January 13.
