MONTREAL – CF Montréal will fight for its spot in the Concacaf Champions League in the Canadian Championship final against Toronto FC, on Sunday, November 21 at 1pm, at Stade Saputo (One Soccer, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
Following a coin toss held Tuesday afternoon to determine the location of the match, CF Montréal will have the opportunity to continue its title defence at home. As both clubs wanted to host the game, a draw was held per Canada Soccer regulations.
This final becomes the latest match in a calendar year to ever be played at Stade Saputo in Club history.
In the semifinal round, CFMTL advanced on penalty kicks against Forge FC on October 27 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, while Toronto defeated Pacific FC 2-1 on November 3, at BMO Field.
