MONTRÉAL - The 13th edition of the Centraide Cup, which was held on Sept. 12 and 13 at Stade Saputo, has raised a record $490,000 in support of Centraide of Greater Montreal and the Montreal Impact Foundation.

“The Centraide Cup has become a unifying event that perfectly reflects the shared values of the Montreal Impact Foundation and Centraide of Greater Montreal,” said Carmie Saputo, President of the Montreal Impact Foundation. “Year after year, the corporate community generously comes together to support causes that have a tangible impact in our communities. With warm thanks to the participating teams, our partners and the many volunteers who contribute to the success of this event for their mutual commitment, we will continue our mission of supporting young people by investing in meaningful projects that foster development and well-being.”

“We are privileged to count on the commitment of participating organizations and their employees, who demonstrate a remarkable spirit of solidarity,” said Maud Doualan, Vice-President, Philanthropic Development, at Centraide of Greater Montreal. “The Centraide Cup is much more than a sports tournament. It brings together hundreds of people around a common cause through the unifying power of soccer. The generosity of participants, the unwavering support of the Montreal Impact Foundation, and the strong partnership we share with the Saputo Stadium team enable us to help improve the living conditions of families and young people facing difficult circumstances.”

On the field, the team FC Eagles claimed the title in the elite category, while FC HQ 1 was crowned champion in the intermediate category. Énergies+ took the honours in the recreational category. Rolls-Royce 1 also received the Sportsmanship Award, presented each year to the team best demonstrating sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The event was made possible thanks to the essential support of partners including Keurig Dr Pepper, Stade Saputo, BMO, Courchesne-Larose, JOO BIO, Metro, Popeye's and Saputo.
