The new season is just around the corner, and with the preseason camp just a few weeks away, here’s what you need to know about the MLS SuperDraft, which will take place on Thursday, January 16, in Philadelphia.
MLS Caribbean Player Combine – Jan. 2-5, 2014
The first-ever edition of the MLS Carribean Combine took place earlier this year at the Antigua Recreation Grounds in St. John’s, Antigua. 24 players took part to the showcase, hoping to get an invitation to the MLS adidas Player Combine.
MLS adidas Player Combine – Jan 9-14, 2014
MLS have invited 50 of the best college players across North America to showcase their skills in front of scouts and technical personnel from all 19 clubs. Nick De Santis, Matt Jordan and Frank Klopas will be in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to get their final thoughts before the SuperDraft.

MLS SuperDraft, presented by adidas –Thursday, January 16, 12pm ET
The first two rounds of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft will take place on Thursday in Philadelphia, with rounds 3 and 4 happening on January 21.
The Impact will have the 10th pick in the first round as well as the 10th and 18th picks (Justin Braun trade) in the second round (29th and 37th overall). The club will also have the 10th pick in both the third and fourth rounds (48th and 67th overall).
