Patrice Bernier, who came on in the 68th minute, scored the Impact's only goal of the night -and his second of the season- in the 80th minute. The midfielder wrong-footed Chivas USA keeper Dan Kennedy on a penalty, after Sanna Nyassi had been fouled in the box.
