The team departs for Florida
Nothing says the new season is on its way more than the beginning of training camp. And it couldn’t have come at a better time. The day after a heavy snowstorm left its mark on Quebec's metropolis, the Bleu-blanc-noir met at Pierre Elliot Trudeau airport to catch a flight to Tampa Bay at 3pm.
Samuel Piette, Harry Novillo, Bacary Sagna, and the man between the pipes, Evan Bush, had the chance to meet with the media for the first time in 2019 before making their way through security. After a quick bite to eat and a small, one-hour delay, the team's flying to Florida.
There was not much else to be done on day one, as the bus pulled up to the hotel in Sarasota, Florida, at around 9pm. Time for supper, where the team reunited with Nacho Piatti, who got in a day early after taking part in the media tour in Los Angeles.
That’s it for today. The team will be meeting at 7:15am the following morning in the lobby though. Sounds like there’ll be running involved.
