Forward Didier Drogba impressed with his offensive skills. Whether in France, England, Turkey, China or with his national team, every time the Ivory Coast native touched the ball, fans would hold their breath.
Here are five of his best goals:
1 – In 2013, as he was playing for the Turkish giant Galatasaray, Drogba faced a powerhouse, Real Madrid, in the Champions League quarterfinal. In this video, he scores his team’s third goal to help them cause an upset in the first leg.
2 – With the Chelsea FC uniform, Didier Drogba scored a goal that required a perfect technic against Liverpool. Perfect control with the chest with his back to the net, followed by a volley shot with his left foot.
3 – Similar to the previous goal but from a farther range, this time against Everton. Again, he controlled with the chest before volleying the ball with the right foot into the top of the net.
4 – In the 2003-04 UEFA Cup semifinal, the Olympique de Marseille faced Newcastle United in the return game, after drawing 0-0 in England. Drogba scored a brace at Stade Vélodrome in front of a huge home crowd to help his team win 2-0 and reach the final.
5 – During the 2013 Emirates Cup, a preseason tournament hosted by Arsenal, Didier Drogba scored this amazing goal after a perfect first touch to lead Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory.
