On Thursday night, the Montreal Impact opened the doors of Stade Saputo for its final exclusive event for season ticket holders as a thank you for their support during the team’s inaugural season in Major League Soccer.
“It makes you feel like you are part of the club.”

More than 1,200 year-long supporters took in an intra-squad game before they themselves made their way onto the pitch to meet, get autographs and take photos with their favourite players - all before taking part in a Q&A session with Impact executive vice-president Richard Legendre, sporting director Nick De Santis and head coach Jesse Marsch.
“Nights like tonight are a bonus value,” said Mathieu Campion, section 103 season ticket holder. “Anybody can go out and buy a ticket, but these kinds of experiences reserved for season ticket holders are very much appreciated. None of the other professional sports in this city can match this. Hockey and football is great, but the involvement of being an Impact supporter has no equal.”
“It shows that the club believes its season ticket holders are important,” said Louis Béland of section 110. “Season ticket holders are made to feel that they are an important part of the team. They even ask our opinion on improving things and we share our ideas.”
“It’s the icing on the cake,” said Bernie Bellini, section 105 season ticket holder. “Not only is the on field performance enjoyable, but all the privileges you get as a season ticket holder, like rebates at the boutique and on food, the personal relationship with your ticket representative if you ever need assistance – all of it makes you feel like you are part of the club.”

With the end of the season fast approaching and the team’s recent success, it’s no wonder that there has been an increase in interest for season tickets in 2013.
“A significant number of supporters have registered for our 2013 season ticket priority list, and it grows every day,” said Impact ticket sales director Brian Weightman. “I believe the team’s success and our sold-out crowds over the last few games have shown them that there is an urgency to register now. Our 2013 season ticket priority list is the most effective way to secure the best seats in the stadium for 2013.”
So does Bellini, who along with Béland and Campion, has already renewed his season tickets for next year.
“Get them while their hot,” Bellini said. “It wouldn’t surprise me if there aren’t many season tickets available in the near future. Every game is getting more packed. With guys like Nesta and Di Vaio, things will only get better on the field. Tickets will be very hard to find.”
