Procure’s Bowvember campaign kicks off

Read on to learn everything you need to know about the only awareness movement battling prostate cancer in Quebec.


  • Impact president Joey Saputo and goalkeeper Evan Bush are ambassadors of the cause and hope to help educate Quebecers about prostate cancer and help PROCURE sell its 10,000 bow ties in order to raise $350,000 for the cause. 
  • Joey Saputo will be present at the Bow Tie Affair event on November 12.
  • Prostate Cancer Awareness Day in Quebec is on November 19.
  • The bow tie is now available for sale online at bowvember.ca for $35. You can also buy your Bowvember bow tie at Greiche & Scaff, Bovet, Harry Rosen, L’Autre Couture, Aubainerie, Caleçon vos goûts, Jack & Jones, Bestseller, JAF prêt-à-porter, and Hachem stores.  
  • All proceeds from the sale of the bow tie will go directly to PROCURE in order to fund its education and support programs for Quebec prostate cancer patients as well its innovative Biobank research program, developed in partnership with Quebec’s four university hospital centers.
  • Prostate cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer among men, affecting 1 in 7 men during their lifetime. This year, 4,600 men in Quebec will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
  • Founded in 2003, PROCURE is the only charitable organization in Quebec to be exclusively dedicated to the fight against prostate cancer through research, awareness, education and support for men who have this disease, as well as their families.
