Poll: Which game are you looking forward to attend the most?

OlympicStadium1

With individual tickets for the first five regular season games going on sale tomorrow morning, Impact Media looks at the team’s opponents, asking: Which game are you looking forward to attend the most?

The home opener against the Chicago Fire on March 17 will probably be very popular one, for many reasons. Not only will it be the first MLS game played in Montreal, but it will also have a historic flavour to it. Thirty years ago, the Manic established an attendance record of 58,542 supporters in a 3-2 victory against the Chicago Sting.

And let’s not forget that Impact head coach Jesse Marsch played and won a MLS Cup with the Fire. Needless to say, he will be looking forward to get the three points on that day in front of a record crowd.

There is also the all-Canadian matchup on April 7 as part of the rivalry weekend with Toronto. The Canadiens will face the Maple Leafs that night while the Impact will host Toronto FC. The Impact has never won against the Reds.

In the following game, on April 28, the Impact will face the Portland Timbers, a team they know very well from their second division days. It might not be worth much, but the last game between these two teams ended in a 1-0 win for the Impact, on May 19, 2010.

Next up for the Impact will be highly anticipated as the 2011 MLS Cup champions, the LA Galaxy, come to town. All eyes will most likely be on English midfielder David Beckham, but the Impact will certainly try to upset one of the best MLS sides.

Last but not least, Montreal will host the New York Red Bulls and French forward Thierry Henry on May 19. On May 11, 2011, in a friendly at Stade Saputo, the Impact shutout the Red Bulls by a 1-0 score.

Now, it's time to vote!
