Offside or not offside, that is the question

According to Garde, the Impact deserved a point in Cincinnati

The frustration on Montreal’s end after the game at Nippert Stadium on Saturday afternoon was evident. At the end of a sequence of three games in eight days and barely 60 hours after having played in New Jersey, Rémi Garde’s men battled hard against FC Cincinnati, and with a little luck, could have come back home with all three points, considering the number of chances they created, especially in the second half, but in the end, it just wasn’t meant to be.

On the positive side of things, the complicated portion of the Impact’s schedule is now in the past: Montreal will play just one away game in the next month and will have two weeks to lick its wounds before the next sequence of three games in eight days. Still third in the East, Montreal will have a home game to try and bounce back, this Saturday, May 18, at 1pm, against the New England Revolution at Stade Saputo (TICKETS – TVA Sports, 98.5, TSN 690). But before, let’s make sense of the advanced stats from last weekend’s game in Ohio.
