Impact’s first team to be present for inauguration of second multisport mini-field
Wednesday will be a big day for the Montreal Impact Foundation, and for the club as a whole. After months of labouring and hard work, the Foundation will officially inaugurate its second multisport mini-field at parc Joe-Beef, in Montreal’s Pointe-Saint-Charles neighbourhood.
The Montreal Impact Foundation, in place since 2013, was inaugurated for one main reason: to give back to the community the club has evolved in for over 25 years. Since its beginnings, the Foundation has focused on improving the quality of life of underprivileged children and their families.
One of the ways it does so is by providing sports facilities in the community, to promote the idea of physical activity and social inclusion. Considering the Foundation’s desire to be creative and original in its projects, the idea of building multisport mini-fields was born.
Last year, the Impact inaugurated its first mini-field at parc Champdoré, in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough, and it was a huge success! Which is why this year, the Foundation will inaugurate a second mini-field at parc Joe-Beef, in Pointe-Saint-Charles.
The inauguration will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, August 21, at 1pm. All of the Impact’s first team players will be present, as well of some of the neighbourhood’s children, to take in the opening of the brand-new field.
