American netminder says goodbye to Montreal after nine years
An important page in the Montreal Impact’s history was turned yesterday. Goalkeeper Evan Bush was traded to the Vancouver Whitecaps, marking the end of an era in Montreal. Bush was the last remaining player from the Impact’s pre-MLS days, the last symbol of the Impact before it made the jump to the big leagues.
With the Impact, Bush leads all goalkeepers, in the second and first divisions, in games played, signing 86 victories in an Impact uniform. A leader on and off the pitch, he’ll always be remembered as of the most important players in this franchise.
Players and fans alike were quick to voice their support for the American netminder when the news broke yesterday afternoon.
