TORONTO - In its first match in over three weeks, CF Montréal registered a 3-2 win over Toronto FC on Sunday evening at BMO Field.
Mathieu Choinière opened the scoring in the 18th minute, then an own goal doubled Montreal's lead in the 25thminute. Choinière then scored his second goal of the game in the 79th on a penalty.
Striker Federico Bernardeschi had closed the gap in the 66th minute and scored his second goal in the 94th minute.
Montreal won all three games against Toronto this year (all competitions).
The Bleu-blanc-noir will play its upcoming game at Stade Saputo this Saturday at 7:30pm against the New England Revolution.
