MONTRÉAL – For the first time, the Northern Super League (NSL) is coming to Stade Saputo! Come cheer on the Montréal Roses as they face the Halifax Tides at Stade Saputo on Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m.
Quebec women’s soccer in the spotlight
The Roses will take the field at Stade Saputo as part of a partnership highlighting the rapid growth of women’s soccer in Québec and across Canada. “Stade Saputo is an iconic venue for soccer in Québec, and it feels only natural to welcome the Montréal Roses there” said Gabriel Gervais, President and CEO of CF Montréal. “The growth of women’s soccer is being felt across our province and beyond, and we’re proud to contribute to that momentum in our own way. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to continuing the work already underway and supporting the development of the game here at home. We are pleased to partner on this event alongside the Roses, their supporters, and our community.”
A high-stakes matchup on the pitch
The Montréal Roses are currently in their second season in Canada’s top professional women’s soccer league and sit atop the standings with 13 points. The Halifax Tides follow in third place with 7 points. This sets the stage for a high-impact NSL showdown on August 29 at Stade Saputo!
