The Impact wrap up the 2010 season

NICK DE SANTIS

“Over the next few months, naturally, we will begin preparations for the MLS. We will be studying the players currently under contract with the club, veterans and rookies alike, and we will be making some decisions. There are some players with the potential to play in the MLS, but they will have to continue to prove that they could make the jump in 2012. We visited a number of organizations over the past few weeks, in order to see how the clubs are organized, with the aim of making the proper organizational decisions.”

MARC DOS SANTOS

“It was definitely frustrating to lose in the semi-finals because when you are the Montreal Impact, nothing but winning the championship is acceptable. We are left asking a number of questions in regards to some of the decisions made by the referees, but we have no choice but to accept the reality.”

PHILIPPE BILLY

“Next season, every player will want to prove they deserve a spot on the team in 2012 as it will join MLS. However, we still have a whole season to contend with before that happens. Our loss in the semi-final series will make us stronger next year. I am satisfied with my first season in Montreal as we experienced some good moments and we had a good team. I truly appreciated the work done by the organization throughout the season and I am looking forward to next year.”

ADAM BRAZ

“The additions of some new players at mid-season definitely brought a new dynamic to the team and helped forge a stronger team spirit. The consistency and the work ethic in training paid off towards the end of the season.”

ALI GERBA

“We have to learn from this game in North Carolina and take away something that could help us in the future. Montreal is my home town and the Impact is my team, therefore I hope to be a part of both as long as possible.”

MATT JORDAN

“Without a doubt, some of the calls made by the referees were controversial, but there is nothing we can do about that. We have to share some of the responsibility for the outcome of the game as we could have done a few things better in the first half and during the first game in Montreal. Despite this, I am proud of what we have accomplished this season.”

ANTONIO RIBEIRO

“I understand that many changes will be made with the team joining the MLS, but I have no intention of working simply to make the team in 2012. We have games to win also in 2011.”
