Three Impact players receive honours after 4-0 win

This week, the MLS Team of the Week certainly has a strong Montreal tint. After a 4-0 win against the Eastern Conference leaders, three Impact players were chosen to represent the league’s best. First off, we have Lassi Lappalainen, scorer of two goals in his MLS debut, including the game’s first goal in the fourth minute.

He’s followed by Zachary Brault-Guillard, who made the start in place of the suspended Bacary Sagna, earning his first MLS assist on Lappalainen’s opening goal. Finally, Orji Okwonkwo, who scored a brace, completes the Impact trio with a spot on the bench.

The Impact bounced back in MLS by taking down the Eastern Conference leaders, the Philadelphia Union. Rémi Garde’s men are now sixth in the Eastern Conference, and they’ll take on the Colorado Rapids, this Saturday at 9pm EDT at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (TVA Sports, 98.5, TSN 690).
