2018 will be a special season for the Montreal Impact, as the club will celebrate its 25th anniversary. An entire quarter-century has passed since the Impact’s first ever home game, in the American Professional Soccer League (APSL).
On May 21, 1993, in front of over 5,000 supporters at Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard, the Impact took advantage of its inaugural home game to earn its first victory in team history, with a 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
25 years later, on May 21, 2018, at 3pm, the Bleu-blanc-noir will host the Los Angeles Galaxy at Stade Saputo on National Patriots’ Day.
The team will kick off its season in Vancouver, on March 4, and in Columbus, on March 10, before playing its home opener on March 17, at 3pm, at Olympic Stadium, against its biggest rivals, Toronto FC. Season tickets for the 2018 season are currently available, starting at $22 per game, as are tickets for the home opener at Olympic Stadium, by calling 514-328-3668 or by visiting impactmontreal.com.
