Impact keeper Troy Perkins was voted by the fans on Facebook as the Videotron Player of the game, following his heroics against Sporting KC on Saturday night, at Stade Saputo.
And Perkins kept his side in the game, when he denied KC's Claudio Bieler from just outside the six-yard box in the 52th minute. The Argentine volleyed a shot destined for the top corner, but the Impact keeper was able to get his fingertips on the ball and push it out for a corner.
Perkins made 4 saves against Sporting KC and earned his 6th shutout of the 2013 season, his 13th with the Impact and his 66th in MLS.
