After three weeks of training at the Marie-Victorin Sports Complex, the players headed Orlando, Florida ahead of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic.
The team landed around noon at the Orlando airport and the players checked-in at the hotel before putting on their cleats for their first training session on American soil.
Argentinean forward and newcomer Andrés Romero was also part of the trip and took part in his first session.
Impact sporting director Nick De Santis was happy with what he saw from Romero.
“He’s quick and good technically, explained De Santis. He can fit in different systems, whether it's in a 4-3-3, in a 4-4-2 or in a 4-2-3-1. He can add depth to our attacking positions.”
Eber on trial
Brazilian midfielder Eber Henrique Ferreira De Bessa also joined up with the squad, as he begins his trial with the Impact.
The team will be training on Friday morning to prepare for their first game of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, against Sporting KC, on Saturday afternoon at 3pm ET. The game will be broadcast live on impactmontreal.com.
