MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced Thursday that defender Jeb Brovsky underwent plastic surgery to his nose following Wednesday night’s game versus the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, at Stade Saputo.
In a collision with defender Jordan Harvey, Brovsky fractured his nose in six places. However his facial bones were not damaged. The medical staff will examine Brovsky again over the next few days to see if he suffered a concussion.
Brovsky now has a small plastic brace on his nose and will be out of training for at least one week.

Despite that pain and blood, he made his way back onto the field to finish the game and then saluted the supporters before being rushed to the hospital.
“The surgery went well and now he just needs the time to heel,” said Impact sporting director Nick De Santis. “He puts everything onto the field every moment. When you play like Jeb does, these things can happen. It’s part of the game, but we know that he’s going to fight back to get into the lineup as soon as possible.”
“We are really pleased that there was no fracture to the facial area,” added Impact assistant Mauro Biello. “Jeb has been an important player for us and we will re-evaluate his condition in a few days.”
Brovsky has played every minute of every game this season for the Impact in MLS (10GS), amassing 900 minutes and helped out the offence with two assists. The Lakewood, Colorado native also played every minute of the three Amway Canadian Championship games and leads Impact defenders in all-time games played in MLS (38), starts (35), minutes played (3,133), assists with three and has played in the last 21 Impact games.
