Ciman, Oyongo, Dzemaili, Bernier, Crépeau, Jackson, and Lefèvre with their national teams


Three Montreal Impact players appeared in international games over the last few days, while three Canadians are preparing to face Curaçao this Tuesday night at Stade Saputo. Defender Wandrille Lefèvre returned with the Bleu-blanc-noir for its game in Kansas City, Saturday night.


Laurent Ciman – Belgium
Estonia (0) v Belgium (2), Friday, June 9 in Tallinn, Estonia

After not featuring in the Belgians’ friendly against Czech Republic, Laurent Ciman was not used by manager Roberto Martínez for the Red Devils’ trip to Tallinn, staying on the bench in its 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Estonia, which Belgium won 2-0. After six group H games, Belgium sits on top of the table, undefeated, with 16 points.


Ambroise Oyongo – Cameroon
Cameroon (1) v Morocco (0), Saturday, June 10 in Yaoundé, Cameroon

Full-back Ambroise Oyongo joined the Indomitable Lions for a preparation camp, from June 4 to 8, before starting its 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Morocco in the capital, Yaoundé. Oyongo left the game at the 17th minute following a severe injury. He will miss the friendly against Colombia and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, for which he had been selected.


Blerim Dzemaili – Switzerland
Faroe Islands (0) v Switzerland (2), Friday, June 9 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Designated Player and midfielder Blerim Dzemaili recorded two assists for Switzerland in a 2-0 win against the Faroe Islands in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game. Switzerland still holds a perfect record thus far in group B, with 18 points in six games, three lengths in front of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.


Patrice Bernier, Maxime Crépeau, Anthony Jackson-Hamel – Canada
Canada v Curacao, Tuesday, June 13 at 7:30pm in Montreal, Quebec
Three of the Montreal Impact Canadians will all be available for the friendly against Curacao at Stade Saputo this Tuesday night (TICKETS), in preparation for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
