Fan favourite and 2012 on-field revelation, Felipe knows the Impact’s new head coach pretty well.
After spending some time under the former Swiss international in 2010-11 at FC Lugano, the Brazilian midfielder feels that Marco Schällibaum can help the Impact take the next step.
“When I played for him in Lugano, we had a good relationship and a solid season as a team,” the midfielder told Impact Media. “He is a coach that likes to be very close with his players, but preaches discipline and organization. “

“He is a very emotional person who puts everything he has into the team,” explained Felipe. “I think he is the right coach to help us win this year because his philosophy will fit with the players we have here. Hopefully, he can help the Impact make the playoffs.”
Felipe will meet Schällibaum once again when he returns from Brazil for the start of the preseason camp, on January 21.
“I would like to welcome him to Montreal and look forward to playing for him again.”
