The first MLS Team of the Week was revealed late Monday afternoon, and it had a certain taste of Bleu-blanc-noir to it. The authors of the Impact’s winning goal in San Jose, Saphir Taïder and Zakaria Diallo, made the cut, joining the rest of the league’s best after the first week of play.
A highlight was especially put on Taïder, who had a goal and an assist. He racked up 1,266 points in the Audi Player Index, the most in MLS after week one.
