On the importance of getting the win…
Coming off of a tie here against Columbus in our last home game, and then that result against Toronto, it was important for us to win this game. We knew it was going to be tough, but it’s a very good result for us.
On Paponi’s performance…
Daniele is a good player. The way he works and his movement off the ball. He hassles the defenders and that makes a huge difference to the team. He played really well and is a good addition to the team.
On the team’s performance…
I felt we played a good first half and we created some decent chances, all that was missing were the goals. We said at halftime that if we kept pushing, the goals would come and we came out there, did exactly that and scored.
