Montreal Impact will know round of 16 opponent on December 9
Some big news will come out of Mexico City on December 9, as the draw for the 2020 Concacaf Champions League will take place. The Impact, who qualified for the tournament following its win in the Canadian Championship final, will find out who it will face in the round of 16 of the continental tournament, which starts next February.
The Impact was placed in pot 1 in preparation for this draw, meaning they can face one of eight teams in pot 2, composed of Club Leon (Mexico), Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica), A.D. San Carlos (Costa Rica), F.C. Motagua (Honduras), C.D. Olimpia (Honduras), Alianza F.C. (El Salvador), Comunicaciones F.C. (Guatemala) and Portmore United F.C. (Jamaica).
So far, 15 clubs have qualified for the tournament, with the final position to be filled by the MLS Cup champion.
The club also offers the ticket for the second leg of this home-and-away series on aggregate goals for free with the 2020 season membership. For more info: https://www.impactmontreal.com/en/memberships
