CF Montréal to take on New England Revolution on the road

Montreal looking for their first points away from home in 2023

CF Montréal will be travelling to Massachusetts to take on the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium, this Saturday night at 7:30pm. You can watch the game live on Apple TV with the MLS Season Pass or tune in to BPM Sports or CJAD 800.

Head coach Hernan Losada’s men will be looking for their first points on the road in the 2023 MLS regular season, before coming back home next week for their first game at Stade Saputo this season.

“I think the focus has to be on ourselves, on our team,” said head coach Hernán Losada. “Not to put to much energy on the opponent, but try to improve as a team, and that’s what we’ve been doing the past couple of days.”

Montreal is coming off a loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps last week and will be looking to bounce back this Saturday against a solid New England side.

Homegrown Mathieu Choinière is on the verge of becoming the Homegrown player with the most games played in MLS in the club’s history, having tied Anthony Jackson-Hamel during the Vancouver game with his 79th game played.

New England, on its end, has had a very good start to the season. Head coach Bruce Arena’s men have lost just one game, adding four wins and a draw as well. The Revs have been stingy on the defensive end, boasting three clean sheets already this season, with just one goal allowed in 2023 at home.

"We need good defensive organization to go out and get points on the road,” said Losada. “We need to stay focused and mentally strong in tough times. We need to make fewer individual mistakes as well to be successful on the road."

CF Montréal will finally play their Stade Saputo home opener the following weekend on Saturday, April 15, also at 7:30pm. Tickets for our Stade Saputo home opener are available here.
