CF Montréal to host Charlotte FC Saturday at Stade Saputo

MONTREAL – Ahead of the month-long break in the MLS regular season calendar and the start of the Leagues Cup, CF Montréal will host Charlotte FC this Saturday at 7:30pm EDT at Stade Saputo (MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

In their last meeting on June 24, Montreal and Charlotte played out a 0-0 draw at Bank of America Stadium. The Montrealers had won both previous meetings in 2022.

This weekend Hernán Losada will be able to once again rely on central defender Rudy Camacho, who did not travel to Chicago mid-week. Camacho will be eligible for selection following a one-match suspension due to yellow card accumulation.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be looking for their first win in Canada, where they have recorded one draw and two defeats since joining MLS. Charlotte is also unbeaten in its last five games (0-0-5), the longest unbeaten streak in the club's history. Another direct competitor in the East’s playoff race, Charlotte becomes the second club this season to string together five consecutive draws after NYCFC.

As a reminder, CF Montréal will kick off its first-ever Leagues Cup campaign later this month. Montreal has been drawn into the East 2 group and will host LigaMX side Pumas UNAM at Stade Saputo on Saturday, July 22, and D.C. United on Wednesday, July 26.
