CF Montréal takes on Toronto FC at Stade Saputo

The Club will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary

CF Montréal is back in action this Saturday to take on its biggest rival, Toronto FC, as of 7:30pm at Stade Saputo, as part of Rivalry Week in MLS. You can purchase tickets for the game here.

The Club will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary this Saturday at Stade Saputo, with a special ceremony taking place on the pitch at halftime.

Head coach Hernan Losada’s men are on fire as of late and will be looking to win a sixth consecutive game across all competitions this Saturday. It will be the second time in a week that they take on their neighbours to the West, Toronto FC, after defeating them 2-1 last Tuesday night at BMO Field, in the quarterfinal of the Canadian Championship.

Montreal now moves on to the semi-finals of the national tournament, where they’ll host Forge FC at Stade Saputo on May 24 at 7pm.

"It's not a lot of recovery days, so we'll see what the best 11 is for us," said head coach Hernán Losada. “It's still a very important game. Not only because it's against Toronto at home, but because we need to keep winning."

Montreal has been dominant against its rival as of late, winning six of its last eight meetings against Toronto FC, and will look to continue that trend in front of the home crowd this Saturday night. Head coach Bob Bradley’s men are winless on the road in 2023, their last road win in MLS dating back to August of last year.

"We continue to improve, but the bottom line is to give everything we have to give, like we did in the last game," added Losada. “We're putting in some good performances as a team. There is room for improvement, but I am very happy with the mentality of all the players. They are all ready to give everything for the team."

CF Montréal will play two games on the road next week, the first being on Wednesday, May 17, against FC Cincinnati, at 7:30pm, followed by a rematch against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, May 20, at 7:30pm.

The team will then return home for the semifinals of the Canadian Championship on May 24, at 7pm (ticketing details coming soon), before hosting Inter Miami CF at Stade Saputo on Saturday, May 27, at 7:30pm. Don’t miss Latin night at Stade Saputo! Tickets for that game are available here.
