Looking for an eighth consecutive win at home
CF Montréal is back in action to take on Nashville SC this Wednesday night at Stade Saputo, with kick off set at 7:30pm. You can still purchase tickets for the game here.
It will officially be the return of summer at Stade Saputo, with festive pre-game entertainment under the stands during Samajam's Brasilia show!
Montreal will be back in action after an 11-day break, their last game having been played on June 10, a 4-0 win over Minnesota United.
“It felt good," said head coach Hernán Losada. “After a run of 11 games in five weeks, it was necessary to recharge our batteries and feel good mentally. We needed the break. Now we're starting again.”
Montreal has been unbeatable at Stade Saputo, with seven wins and seven clean sheets in their last seven games. They’ll be looking to make it eight in a row at home, but Nashville SC won’t make it easy on them.
Nashville has been one of the better teams in MLS since the beginning of the season, currently second in the Eastern Conference behind Cincinnati. Their last loss in MLS dates all the way back to April 15, a 2-1 loss to New York City FC.
"We're going to have to get off to a good start and have good energy throughout the game," added Losada. After that, Nashville is a team in form, which hasn't lost in its last 10 games. They've got one of the best players in the league. It's going to be a complicated team, but CF Montréal at home can do some special things. It's going to be an interesting game."
CF Montréal will be on the road this weekend to take on Charlotte FC on Saturday, June 24, at 7:30pm. The Bleu-blanc-noir will then return home to take on New York City FC at Stade Saputo on Saturday, July 1, at 7:30pm. Get your tickets to the game here.
