MONTREAL – CF Montréal will host the LA Galaxy at Stade Saputo for the first time in four years this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EDT (Apple TV, RDS, TSN, TSN 690). On that occasion, a halftime ceremony will be held to mark Lloyd Barker’s induction into the Club’s Wall of Fame.

The Montrealers will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches after recording two home draws before earning a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew last Wednesday. Prince Owusu scored his 25th MLS goal with the Club in that match, while Noah Streit netted his first goal in the Bleue-blanc-noir colours. Alexis Sánchez also made his first appearance for CF Montréal.

The Bleu-blanc-noir hold an all-time record of 1-5-3 against the Galaxy (7 goals scored, 15 conceded), including a 1-1-2 mark at home (6 goals scored, 6 conceded). Meanwhile, the LA Galaxy returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes last Wednesday in the 106th edition of the California Clásico. That result followed a 1-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo on August 15, after the Galaxy had previously drawn their two preceding matches.

Prince Owusu is currently riding a streak of three consecutive matches with at least one goal. The Ghanaian striker, who made his 50th MLS start for the Club last Wednesday, now has 25 MLS goals with CF Montréal, ranking fourth in Club history. He has also scored eight away goals this season, just one shy of the Club record set by Ignacio Piatti in 2016 and matched by Owusu himself last season.
