CF Montréal takes on Columbus Crew at Stade Saputo

MONTREAL - CF Montréal will take to the pitch this Wednesday at Stade Saputo once again in MLS action against the Columbus Crew at 7:30pm (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

After falling 3-2 to Inter Miami CF on Saturday, the Montrealers are set to welcome the defending MLS Cup champions.

Having earned a point from a scoreless draw in their last meeting with Wilfried Nancy's side, the Bleu-blanc-noirhave an overall 9-13-6 record against the Crew and a 6-3-3 home record. On their last visit to Montreal on September 2, 2023, Columbus defeated the Montrealers 4-2, thanks in part to a hat-trick from Cucho Hernandez. Mahala Opoku and Jules-Anthony Vilsaint struck back for CF Montréal.

This will also be the 900th regular-season match in the Club's history (1993-2024). CF Montréal's overall record stands at 415-332-152, with 1,230 goals scored and 1,096 goals allowed.

As for the opponent, Columbus suffered its first defeat in 27 home games on Saturday, falling 2-1 in the Ohio derby against FC Cincinnati at Lower.com Field. Nineteen-year-old Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsy and 2023 MLS MVP Luciano Acosta scored for Cincinnati, while Maximilien Arfsten recorded the Crew's lone goal.

Lastly, after seeing off Mexican soccer giants CF Monterrey in the semifinals of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, the Columbus Crew will now contest the tournament's grand final against Pachuca on June 1 at Mexico's Estadio Hidalgo.
