CF Montréal hosts Forge FC in the Canadian Championship semi-final

Tickets starting at $22 plus taxes

CF Montréal will be back in action to take on Canadian Premier League side Forge FC in the Canadian Championship semi-final, this Wednesday, May 24, at 7pm, at Stade Saputo. You can buy your tickets now starting at $22 plus taxes, or tune in live on One Soccer, BPM Sports and TSN 690.

This will be a repeat of last year’s Canadian Championship quarterfinal at Stade Saputo, a game in which Montreal emerged victorious thanks to a hat trick from striker Sunusi Ibrahim. Montreal and Forge also faced off in the semi-finals of the 2021 edition of the national tournament, with the Bleu-blanc-noir winning that one in penalties following a 0-0 draw.

"This is an opportunity for the organization to win a trophy and play in a final again," said head coach Hernán Losada. “I know it's a very important game for them as well. They said it's the most important game of the year. It's the same for us."

Head coach Hernán Losada’s men reached the final four of this year’s competition after defeating Vaughan SC 2-0 in the first round at Stade Saputo, followed by a 2-1 win in the quarterfinals at BMO Field against Toronto FC.

Forge FC is still unbeaten in this year’s CPL campaign, currently occupying first place with three wins and three draws to their name. Head coach Bobby Smyrniotis and his Hamilton side have the most successful side since the CPL’s inception in 2019, winning back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020 before adding a third to their collection in 2022.

The winner of the semi-final would move on to face either Pacific FC or the Vancouver Whitecaps in the final.

CF Montréal will be back in action at Stade Saputo this Saturday, May 27, at 7:30pm, to take on Inter Miami CF. Tickets starting at just $29 plus taxes. Don’t miss Latin night at Stade Saputo! Get your tickets here.
