MONTREAL – CF Montréal returns to Stade Saputo for a midweek clash as it hosts Atlanta United on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EDT (Apple TV, CJAD 800). Buy your tickets here.
The Bleu-blanc-noir looks to bounce back from a Saturday matinee loss in Toronto on Oct. 11 against an Atlanta side which fell 3-1 to FC Cincinnati at home over the weekend. Tata Martino’s side — which sit 14th in the Eastern Conference, three points clear of the Montrealers — is winless over its past two games.
CF Montréal holds an overall record of 5-9-4 (23 goals scored, 33 goals conceded) along with a home record of 4-2-3 (12 goals scored, 10 goals conceded).
Forward Daniel Ríos has found the back of the net in consecutive games, including his sixth goal of the season and first road marker of the campaign last Saturday against Toronto. The Mexico City native is one goal away from tying his career-high seven-goal tally in one season, which he achieved in the 2022 season with Charlotte FC and the 2024 season with Atlanta United.
The Montrealers will also rely on Prince Owusu, who has contributed to 57% of the team’s goals this season. Owusu is two goals away from becoming only the fourth player in Club history to score 30 or more MLS goals with the Bleu-blanc-noir, joining Nacho Piatti (66), Marco Di Vaio (34) Romell Quioto (34)
