The Impact climbing slowly and surely
Stability is bearing fruit for the Montreal Impact. With an unchanged starting 11 in regard to the game against Orlando, Rémi Garde went back to consistency, which did not let him down. The Impact therefore served just a third loss this season to Sporting Kansas City, who only managed three shots on Evan Bush’s net – and none on target in the first half, a tendency the Bleu-blanc-noir seems keen on continuing.
It’s therefore 12 points out of a possible 15 that the Impact has banked in its last five games. During this sequence, two tiny goals were allowed by Evan Bush and co, both coming in a chaotic start to the game against FC Dallas. Other than that, the group’s defensive performances have been convincing, organized, and unified. At the other end, not only is Montreal scoring goals, but it’s also creating more quality chances in the opponent’s final third.
