A great performance from Loux11 at the eMLS Cup

Our eSports player lost in the semi-finals after a stellar showing

Our eSports player presented by BMO Alix Largerie, known as Loux11, was in Austin this weekend to participate in the eMLS Cup. This was his first appearance at the biggest tournament of the eMLS season.

“It was an amazing experience," said Loux 11, "It's always cool to play live tournaments, but this was my first time playing in front of an audience, and I really enjoyed it. It's probably one of the competitions I'm most proud of having participated in."

Loux11 qualified for the eMLS Cup with strong performances throughout the season that helped him finish sixth overall with a record of 14 wins, seven losses and four ties.

"Compared to last year, my progression is huge. Overall, I had a great season and I'm very proud of where I am. Finishing in the top four among all eMLS teams is honestly something I couldn't have predicted at the beginning of the season, knowing that my goal was only to compete in the eMLS Cup."

Loux11 first faced AlanAvi of FC Dallas in the first round of the tournament, winning comfortably 3-1 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he faced Joksan of Nashville SC in a two-legged series.

It was an intense face-off, with the first game finishing 3-3. In the second game, both players gave their all for the win, but it was our representative who ultimately won 4-3 to earn a spot in the semi-finals.

His semi-final opponent was Paulo Neto, the defending 2022 eMLS Cup champion and winner of the two 2022 League Series tournaments. Despite the huge effort, it was Neto who won the clash 6-3 over two games.

"It was my experience that really made the difference compared to 2022. I go into the matches with a lot more confidence and play with a lot less pressure. When I was leading in scoring last year, I always kept attacking, whereas I calmed my game down a lot more this year."

The eMLS season is now over, but you will still be able to see Loux11 on our game days at Stade Saputo! He will also continue to play against players from other MLS teams live on his Twitch account!
