What was the best show you have seen?
It was a performance by my favourite comedian, Gad ElMaleh. I got to see him in Montreal about two years ago.
Who is your idol or a significant inspiration in your life?
At the sporting level, it would be the Brazilian Ronaldo for all he’s accomplished on the field. In my personal life, my mother has been a true inspiration to me. It’s motivating to see how she goes about her life. She has always been available and nurturing for her three children.
Which player has the biggest appetite on the team?
I eat a lot, but I think Philippe Billy has the biggest appetite (laughs). He eats a lot and very fast too. His plate is always empty after only 10 minutes.
Where would you take your dream vacation?
Barcelona, to see the soccer club, but also to visit the city and the country.
If you were to buy yourself one gift, what would it be?
A pair of tickets to see a Classico match, Barcelona vs Real Madrid, at Camp Nou.
If you weren’t a soccer player, you would be...
Probably a lawyer because I really don’t like to see injustice and when I know I’m right, I like to argue my point.
What is your favourite memory from Morocco?
Every day after school, I played soccer with my friends for like four or five hours. I lived right near the Dutch Embassy and two of the building’s walls would make up our field.
What are the most important values for you?
Remaining humble, working hard to arrive at your goals and to be fair.
Raja Casablanca or Wydad Casablanca?
Neither of the two teams. My club is FUS Rabat, with which I started playing at age 7.
