The Montreal Impact concluded the 2013 season with a number of memorable moments, including its first ever playoff appearance and the best single season record for a Canadian side in MLS history.

10. Home game against CD Heredia

So good even a pirate showed up to the game.


With the Impact needing to win by a huge score line to potentially advance in to the knockout round of the tournament, the team held no punches in its final game of the group stage, hosting Guatemalan side CD Heredia at Stade Saputo. Despite only winning the game 2-0, the Impact created put on a show for the 15,000 faithful supporters in attendance. Players even felt it was one of the best atmosphere this season.


9. Ferrari's winner

After going down twice against Real Salt Lake this season, the Impact managed a late comeback, thanks to Matteo Ferrari. If you're going to score your first goal in MLS, it might as well be a 97th-minute winner.


8. Hammering Houston

The Impact had another big game performance in its bag, hammering Houston 5-0 at home.


7. Comeback in KC

After going down a goal at Sporting Park, the Impact scored two goals in the early part of the second half and held off a charge by SKC after Alessandro Nesta was shown a red in the 74th minute to earn its third road win of the year.


6. Off to a great start!

The Impact, in its two first games of the season, matched its road win total from the entire 2012 campaign in two of the most difficult places to play, with victories over Seattle and Portland

And Patrice Bernier even played better than Totti, according to Di Vaio. No big deal.


4. Nesta retires

One of the best and most decorated players in world soccer history, played his last game as a pro in a Montreal Impact uniform, calling it a career at the end of this past season.


3. Di Vaio's 20th goal

Di Vaio became just the 11th player in MLS history to reach the 20-goal mark when he scored the equalizer against Philadelphia in October.


And the celebration wasn't bad either. BFFs.


2. Impact 6-0 Toronto FC

What a memorable game.

After falling 2-0 in the opening leg of the Canadian Championship semi-final series, the Impact hosted the home leg with a vengeance, dismantling rival TFC 6-0 in a night that supporters will remember for a long, long time.

Twice the Montreal Impact had to comeback from a deficit to finally capture the Voyageurs Cup, with Hassoun Camara scoring that goal in the late stages of the game against the Whitecaps.
