The Women’s Excel Program (WEP) squad, representing CF Montréal Academy's Women's program, claimed a second trophy this season by winning the Ligue1 Québec Cup on Sunday, August 6th in Laval, following a 2-0 victory in the final against FC Laval. Esther Brossard and Léa Larouche were the WEP’s two scorers.

Less than a month after winning the regular-season title, the Montrealers complete the league and cup double in Ligue1 Québec. They succeed AS Blainville, who achieved the same double in 2021 and 2022.

"We worked hard throughout the match. It was a physical and mental battle that we overcame to win the trophy," said captain Janet Okeke.

"It was a great performance. The girls really knew how to handle the strong moments but also those where we suffered a little more. They were solid and disciplined defensively, and they took advantage of opportunities offensively to score", said head coach Julie Casselman.

Following this second provincial title, the CF Montréal Academy Women's program will compete in the League1 Canada Women's inter-provincial championship, from August 11 to 13 in Langley (British Columbia), where they will face the country's three other top teams in Ontario and British Columbia.
