UQAM 1 IMPACT 2

Early in the first half, Impact midfielder Sandro Grande scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick, after a foul on Rocco Placentino in the 18-yard box. Forward Peter Byers scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half.

"We gave the opportunity to many players to play that game, allowing players who had played a lot lately to rest," said Impact head coach John Limniatis. "The Citadins gave us a good opposition today. It was another great preparation for us."

Two players trying out with the Impact played their first preseason game: Belgian defender Mohama Zanzan Atte-Oudeyi, who played 60 minutes, and Gambian forward Pa Mamadou Gai, who played the entire 90 minutes of the game.

The Impact will play its final exhibition game against Syracuse University, Tuesday at 3 pm, in Syracuse.

The Impact will kick off its regular season on Saturday, April 18, against the Battery in Charleston. Season tickets are currently available by calling 514-328-3668.
