MONTREAL - The International U14 Qualification Tournament, presented by Nutrilait, kicks off on Friday night, at Centre Nutrilait, with a game between AS St-Lambert and CS Longueuil on Field A, followed by another one between the Étoiles de l’Est and Panellinios on Field B, starting at 6:10pm. Admission is free during the whole tournament.
The winner of the tournament will earn its ticket for the International U14, presented by the Fédération des producteurs d’oeufs du Québec, from June 28 to July 1, also at Centre Nutrilait. The Quebec team will have the chance to play against the Montreal Impact, Bologna FC, Toronto FC, the Houston Dynamo, the Chicago Fire, D.C. United and the defending champion, the New England Revolution.
On Friday, every team from all four groups will play their first group game. The day after, they will play the other two group games.
The tournament will be put on hold at 1pm to allow all the teams to go to Stade Saputo and support the first team in its game against Los Angeles FC.
Sunday, the elimination rounds will begin at 9:10am, starting with the round of 16. The final will be played at 5:40pm.
In 2017, the Montreal-Nord Pumas won the final 2-0 against CS Saint-Laurent to earn their spot in the International U14.
