We thus give you our countdown of the Impact’s top twelve on-field moments in this unforgettable 2016 season.

2. November 6, 2016: New York 1-2 Montreal – Impact reaches Eastern Conference Championship
With its 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Impact has to go and get a result in a stadium where it has never won.
And what a result it is!
With a double serving of Nacho and another crucial Evan Bush penalty kick save, the Impact picks up a 2-1 win (3-1 on aggregate) over a Red Bull team struggling to believe that it has flubbed yet another opportunity in the MLS Cup Playoffs. The Bleu-blanc-noir thus becomes the first Canadian team to ever reach a Conference Championship in MLS.
