For a second time in just three weeks with the club, Impact goalkeeper Troy Perkins has been nominated for the Save of the Week in MLS.
Perkins, who has two clean sheets in three games, came charging out to save a sure goal from D.C. United midfielder Marcelo Saragaso who had received a low cross in the six-yard box from Dwayne De Rosario in the 78th minute.
The Springfield, Ohio native had won the Save of the week in his first game with the Montreal Impact when he stopped a Saer Sene header in New England, a game which the Impact won 1-0. In 270 minutes of play, Perkins has been scored just once, from a penalty kick, scored by San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski.

Voting runs from Tuesday morning until 11:59 pm PT on Thursday.
